Close-Act Theatre has toured the world and we can’t wait to welcome them to Derby Festé. ‘Malaya’ is a unique larger than life show that will transform Bass’ Recreation Ground into a futuristic journey in time where Mad Max meets Aliens!
Follow twenty-six silver creatures as they guide the audience into a mythical dream world of grotesque images, fire, light and sounds. Huge birds fly around and stilt- walkers chase each other with fire surrounded by giant metal carts with an imposing aerial structure looming overhead.

Tickets will also be available to purchase at the gate at Bass’ Rec from 7pm ready for the show to start at 8pm and finishes around 9pm.
