As Festé 2013 opens, Derby’s newly reopened River Gardens will play host to jugglers and exciting fire performers to get the party started from 7pm. They will then show the way to Bass' Recreation Ground for the performance of As the World Tipped by Wired Aerial Theatre.
On Saturday, the streets of Derby will come alive with a fantastic selection of entertainers from 12noon for the whole family. Saturdays evening entertainment will be kicked off by White Wings at 6.30pm followed by the fabulous DJ Yoda at 7.30pm and if you head to the Market Place soak up more of the party atmosphere with a unique light show and Bollywood party with Charity Shop DJ and Surtal Arts.
Also look out for Phillis Fogg - Explorer and balloon maker extraordinaire. With a laundry basket rocket launcher on her back, Phillis is on a mission to change the world of balloon art forever. NINJA! - The newest recruit to the Ninja world is ready to show you his skills with bo-staff and crystal ball. S.S.S.H! (The Secret Society of Secret Holders) - Enid Smythe, chairwoman of Sssh!, is on the lookout for new recruits, but only those who know how to keep their eyes peeled, their ears to the ground and their socks clean...
